Hello again,

I was looking at a website which has the new slang of the Iranian youth. I do not want to post all of it - as some terms are a bit offensive- but I was wondering if they are real or not used at all. I've heard of a few of these terms but I was wondering if the following are accurate:

Terekoondan: the act of having a good time
Tick Zadan: Flirting
Yaroo tatile: This means a person is out of it
Gorkhidan: Being scared and running away
Do be ham zan: A person who ruins friendships
Bache Mosbat: Someone who is generally a nice person and does everything which is morally right
Betighesh: It means to use something until there is nothing left

Yeah, they are right, but you should know how to use the verbs in a sentence. For instance for "tik zadan":
baa Mehrnaz "tik mizaneh"> he's flirting with Mehrnaz // he's got a crush on Mehrnaz
OR
baa ham "tik mizanan"> they're into each other

So next time you can send them in context and I will tell you if you've got the right usage.

Hi!
I had a good time> hesaabi (=very) terekoondam / eshgh o haal bood (=it was so fun) // kheyli faaz daad (=it was so fun and amusing)

betighesh > imperative form of "tighidan"="tigh zadan" (sb)
yaroo tighemoon zad OR yaroo tighidemoon (he ripped us off)
betighesh = suck him dry (money-wise!)

For instance if your girlfriend is looking for the money u have and is trying to just use it up, u might say:
"daare tigham mizaneh" = she is sucking me dry

I've only heard it used regarding money and only for a person as the object of the verb (not a thing).

Many of JAHEL slang have become standard slang understood by almost everyone and I am familiar with many of those. I can also ask my Tehrani friends to help you if you have anything particular in mind.
