Leadbelly

Nice song. Catchy tune.
Would be nice to add a footnote about Leadbelly:

1 ) "Rain seeping into my shoes" -> "la pluie *rentre* dans mes chaussures" or "la pluie me rentre dans les chaussures" (seems better to convey the light mood of the song)
2 ) "I'd take a cab..." -> j'aurais bien pris un taxi...
(sequence of tenses is usually more rigid in French than in English)
3 ) "Stopping for coffee along the way. Umbrella sprays. I'm digging for change" -> Je m'arrête pour prendre un café. Mon parapluie m'éclabousse. Je cherche ma monnaie.
(translating "along the way" is not necessary. You could say "je m'arrête en chemin", but that would sound a bit redundant).
4 ) "Leadbelly playing a song I long to sing" -> Leadbelly joue un air que j'aimerais tellement chanter.
"tellement" could be replaced by "tant", but here again "tellement" fits the overall mood of the song better, I think.
btw. it's "désire", not "dèsire".
5 ) "He's saying try to be strong"
multiple choices here : "Il dit 'essayez d'être fort'" or "il dit qu'il faut essayer d'être fort" or "il dit d'essayer d'être fort" (I would pick 3rd choice).
6 ) "Just feels so far / from who I want to be" -> ça m'a l'air tellement loin / de ce que je veux être
7 ) "I've got a song and it screams in my heart" -> j'ai une chanson et *elle* hurle dans mon coeur
8 ) "The crystal glass is breaking apart" -> Le verre de cristal tombe en morceau
"tomber en morceaux" can evoke both the the singer's voice breaking a glass and her projects/life falling apart.
9 ) "When did these dreams go and grow so tall?"
the "verb and verb" construct is always a tricky one to translate into French. In this case I propose "Quand est-ce que ces rêves ont commencé / à grandir autant ?"
10) "They got so big"
you've put an extra "se" somewhere
