Lied and deceiv*ing* -> it seems to me you translated it like "lied and deceiv*ed*". As I understand it, it means the man was deceiving himself and was lied to by his wife at the same time. She only pretended to love him and he lied to himself because he knew it but could not face it.
Ride on a golden wave / Set sail for the sun / Make every cloud your slave / Don't be alone -> seems that all these lines are addressed to the man by someone else, especially when it says "make every cloud *your* slave".
But when you listen to the song, it seems these lines are sung by the other band members. Like a choir in a Greek tragedy, or maybe it's a representation of the man trying to convince himself to get out of his isolation by talking to himself. That would explain the apparent confusion between "I" and "you".

Для меня это звучит как побудительные предложения, "оседлай волну",
"не будь одиноким(-ой)". В моем восприятии автор это не о себе говорит.
(да уж, в русском языке спряжение глаголов грамматически богаче, всегда ясно кто-кому чего адресует. Зато английский зачастую лаконичнее)
