This is another great example of our need to be sceptical of things we find on the internet. Berliner25 is correct, in spite of sites listing Bob Marley as author/performer of this song. There are even youtube videos claiming to be recordings of Bob Marley singing this song--but all of these are wrong!

The song is indeed by Johnny Nash and a cover was later done by Jimmy Cliff. Bob Marley has no connection to this song.
