When All This Will Be Yesterday

Bosnisch

Kad sve ovo bude juce

Dan bez svijetla, zora bez pijetla
noć bez zvijezda, ptica bez gnijezda
nit' se neba plave nit' mirišu trave
šta to tamo rade naše lude glave

Sve što želim reći
da kucnuo je posljednji čas

Viza, kriza, duldung ofental
Berlin, Beč, Malme Vupertal
gore, dolje, svuda pusto polje
da li smo zaslužili da nam bude bolje

Sve što želim reći
da kucnuo je posljednji čas
ne bude li Bosne
tada neće biti ni nas

Mi smo samo krvava mrlja
na bijelosvjetskom TV-ekranu
oni koji treba u tišini da nestanu
šta njima znače naši životi
što to oni znaju o ljepoti
nek zauvijek u blatu laži ostanu

Ref.
Jednom kad sve ovo bude juče
kad zora svane, a svanuće

When All This Will Be Yesterday

Versions: #1#2#3

A day without light, a morning without a rooster
A night without a star, a bird without a nest
The skies aren't coloured blue neither do the grasses smell
what are our insane minds/heads doing there

Everything which I've wanted to say is that the last hour has struck

Visum, crisis, ...
Berlin, Vienna, ...
up there, down here, everywhere empty fields
have we earned that things will be better for us

Everything which I've wanted to say is that the last hour has struck
If there won't be Bosnia
Than there wouldn't be us

We are nothing but a bloody spot
on the TV-screen
Those who'd need to dissapear in silence
what do our lives mean to them
What do they know about beauty
let the lies forever remain in the mud

Ref.
Once when all of this will be yesterday
when dawn will break and it surely will
don't let the pain your chest
why weren't you there when it was most needed

Give me a day in which you're happy
Give me just a crumble of the warm summer
Give me dreams which don't turn into nightmares
be the hand that defends Bosnia
be the hand that feeds Bosnia
so that tomorrow our dreams already can become reality

Once when all of this will be yesterday
you'll take your grandchild into your lap
when the Bosnian winters ...
say, I was there
during the most difficult period
I was with Bosnia
during the most difficult period

the translation sucks. it just taken word by word and it makes no sense!

Why don't you post a better one?

It's not the translation that sucks, it's a consequence of translating anything into English - such a cold, unfeeling language, compared to Bosnian.
