Well, in the second spot you had a nice interpretation, the only thing that I mentioned is that the actual meaning was "my groin appeared to have forgotten its [periodic] job". But it's the translator's choice to make the character speak on behalf of her groin, or vice versa. :)

is very interesting, though the literal meaning is the following:
"You'd better put your head in a noose than surrender", but the actual meaning differs somewhat from the literal translation. Although your "extra mile" is something pretty exaggerated, it is still better than the literal meaning.
If I translated this line, I'd put something like: "You'd better cut a caper up on nothing than lie spread". The meaning is "do whatever you want, but don't you let the Angel approach you". Of course, it's a bit ironic, as well as the whole song. :)
