Ahh, thank you. I'll go ahead and correct this line now.
I was confused as to why there was no subjunctive trigger before the "que," but now I understand. It's the same concept as in my other Romance languages. What threw me off was that the previous "que" leads to an indicative, while this one leads to a subjunctive; they are really 2 separate ideas:
Pinto una rosa en el cielo / que brilla en tu pelo / y que alumbre mi sol
I paint a rose in the sky. / That shines in your hair. / And may my sun shine.
As you noted, as long as one checks the mood of verbs, you can't go wrong. I think that is wonderful advice.
No hay de qué. Tengo un diccionario Español electronico - VOX - y siempre retificome de las conjugaciones. Online me gusta mucho los forums de WordReference y claro, su diccionario. Creo que el "QUE" es uno aspecto de facto dificil de la gramática española pero se trata sólo de acostumbrarse. Chau! =)

Hi, again. So, "alumbre" is Subjunctive not Present as you can check over here on this verb table alumbrar. Your phrase is the translation to "Y alumbr[a] mi sol". Well QUE + subjunctive is a structure of Spanish (and Portuguese too) that we use to express hope, permision, etc, actually is a reduced form of two sentences.
(Deseo) Que te [vaya] bién
I hope all turns out fine to you
(Espero) Que Dios te [perdone]
May God forgive you
All the verbs above are subjunctive. As in your phrase, inversion of the subject is possible "Que te perdone Dios". I know it's a bit confusing but you can't go wrong if you check the mood of verbs. A verb table always helps a lot. Take a glimpse at this page, it looks fine El subjunctivo. :)
