Two changes were implemented last week:

1. New profile field "Translations signature". You may write a short message to fellow readers or add your statement about translations reprinting, and this text will appear under all your translations.

2. Requests limitation. Please note that now the number of requests is limited to two open requests per one song.

Those are some nice improvements. I already have added such a signature.

But I have two questions to the second point.

Firstly, I assume that the limit only refers to requests added by a single user?
And secondly, does this rule also refer to older requests? E.g. are those removed automatically if they are more than two per song, are they supposed to be removed manually, or are they okay to stay?

That was changed some weeks ago, but there was no official announce for it.
Also the part of the website rules and FAQ regarding covers was changed at that time.

Thanks for the heads-up, LT. These are two great improvements.

I have already added a signature.

Regarding the 2-requests limit, I noticed it since I received an error message when I tried to open 4 requests for the same song, but that is fine by me.

I have a suggestion to number 1. Would it be possible to ask users to try to add an English version of their signatures? I know I may be crazy, but people who don't understand a language may take advantage of that fact in order to reprint the translations. Just in case, I have submitted a bilingual signature.

It has happened not that rarely that users added requests into 10 different languages of which they only spoke like 2. So, it was more spamming than an actual interest in having the translations.

If a request is completed, you can add a new one again, so it doesn't block you from requesting as much translations as you like, as long as you wait until the existing requests are completed.

I agree that the limit may be raised to maybe 3 or 4 requests, though.

I do see your point. But your situation to me looks rather like an exception instead of a norm.
Uhm, maybe the requests limitation could be made dependent on the user rank?

Yes, I noticed change #1. I'm working on a clickable image button to a page with translations of the same copyright (English and Spanish will be my main ones in my signature). I think it would be cool though to write something simple in English and have it translated into as many languages as we can so that users who want to use it in their signatures can just copy and paste them. Just a thought.

I agree with that idea.

We could get those translations and add them in this page> https://lyricstranslate.com/en/copyrights
