From Day to Day
How low do we go, can it be lower,
maybe our enthusiasm has risen, but our standards are not rising,
days of pride and glory and minus on the current(current account),
we are not living we are surviving.
What do we leave to our future generations,
debts, bills, loan installments are choking us,
and we have no kunas(Croatian currency),
we combine how to postpone pay, at least for ten days,
fuck life when on credit card we buy food.
And where we are now, old saving is dissolved,
went on something essential, ate herself and drank,
we lost everything, it hit us too hard,
who knows what happened overnight.
Who should I ask, my brother,
who will give me all the answers,
tell me anything,
except that it could be worse.
All this thousands and thousands(he means on money),riders and miners(old Croatian value)
set it aside long time ago, for a dream to be realized,
dissapeard in the numbers, like snow melted numbers,
while we were surviving, things for life increased
and where we are now,
finally peaceful, finally free, finally in our country,
but now we are poor.
We gave our dreams for this country and we are not sorry,
but along the way a bigger patriot has been found bigger than us,
so I stole all the surplus,
worked, but they didn't appreciate us,
waited for months to pay the effort we have invested.
Where are we now, again everything anew,
for how low do we go, from Monday to Friday,
how much does our work worth today,
we had, now we don't, where are we now ?
We just live from day to day,
and every dream long gone has been erased,
who should I ask, my brother,
who will give me all the answers,
tell me anything expect that it could be worse x2
And where are we now ?
Still waiting for a better tomorrow,
perhaps naively we hope to the same things,
while inside the whole system is failing,
there is no justice to protect us,
there is no honest government, there are only converters.
Promises are cheap and life is so expensive,
so ideal are the criminals, what do you want, people are not stupid,
they want standard, they want cash, they want to live, they want it all,
and they wait for it and wait and wait and they loose their temper,
because there is no sense, overheads are high,
minus is too deep,
and it all lasts for too long, people have been broken,
some whine because yesterday was better than today,
others are raging, shouting while they have a national fervor
and I ask you I ask you where we are now,
still working on the black below price, but until when,
who will restore dignity, who will pay a full price,
give us how much we are worth,
so that things could for once go.
We are loosing our patience, we only reckon problems,
everything that we had we don't have and our burden is heavy
so in the end everybody wonders,
how low I have fallen,
so how then to stay proud.
We just live from day to day,

And tell me that we could change the world,

and that children who are coming will have heritage to take,
and tell me that we haven't destroyed all the good,

Tell me that we can build, that it's not too late
and if I fail give me strength, to create something beautiful
and already tomorrow I would love to open my eyes, so I could be grateful,
but I can't so I clench my teeth, and walk from day to day
