Quero te encontrar
I want to find you
1. | Quero te encontrar |
2. | Eu já sabia que era amor |
3. | Dance, dance, dance |
Thank you! :)
Oh, I swear I was going to write "I most needed SOMEONE", but then I thought: "if the song doesn't say 'someone' it means I won't need to write this", but I really felt there was something hanging, thank you! :)
No problem ;)
So does it make sense in Portuguese without the 'someone'?
Yes, it does so to speak... although we don't know what or who she needed, so I'm not totally sure whether she needed someone or some help, I just assumed it.
The lack of the complement happens because of the musicality, it would sound odd if she sang "Quando eu mais precisei DE ALGUÉM" (someone), so she prefered not to mention it in order to add a better musicality to the song :)
Oh I see... If you want to be more vague with what he/she needs you could translate it as 'when I was most in need' as this doesn't necessarily mean that he/she needed SOMEONE it could also refer to something... :)
Oh that suggestion is great, changed :)

Nicely translated ;)
Just a couple of things:
Verse 1,line 4: it kind of feels like the line is left hanging... Maybe you could translate it as 'when I was most in need'/'when I most needed someone'
Verse 3, line 3: 'whether it ran away from me or whether it was destiny that wanted it'
