In the movie, Alex is in a car accident and he goes to a special place where he can gamble on whether or not he will live or die. In a series of tests to see if Alex is a good person, wrong answers results in black balls being put into a tube; with correct answers white balls are put into another tube. If the white balls overflow first, Alex lives--but if the black balls fill the tube first, then Alex dies.
