Barış Manço-Gamzedeyim Deva Bulam

Gamzedeyim deva bulmam garibim bir yuva kurmam
Gamzedeyim deva bulmam garibim bir yuva kurmam
Kaderimdir hep çektiğim inlerim hiç reha bulmam
Kaderimdir hep çektiğim inlerim hiç reha bulmam

Elem beni terk etmiyor hiçte fasýla vermiyor

Nihayetsiz müteakiben doðrusu ömür yetmiyor

I can try :)

Gamzedeyim deva bulmam,
garibim bir yuva kurmam.
Kaderimdir hep çektiğim,
inlerim hiç reha bulmam.

Elem beni terk etmiyor,
hiç de fasıla vermiyor.
Nihayetsiz bu takibe
doğrusu ömür yetmiyor.
---------------------------------------------
I'm a grief victim, can't find a remedy,
I'm a poor* man, can't build a nest.**
It's my destiny which I always suffer from,
I moan, can't find a salvation.

Sorrow doesn't leave me,
also it never takes a break.
To this infinite chasing,
sooth to say, this life is not enough.

* "poor, harmless, alone" pick one
**to get married and start a family

- "gamzedeyim" word could be "gamze-deyim" ( being in love/stuck with a girl who has a dimple) or "gam-zedeyim"( being a victim/survivor of grief). This is a really old song and there's no certain information about that. Could be an allusion too.
- actually in the first verse, verbs don't imply ability -in literal translation. So, that could be he's willing to do these. Like, he " doesn't -want- to find a remedy", "doesn't -want- to build a nest" and so on... But in the second verse he's really suffering... so, we usually take it as if it's formed with "can" modal verb.

I hope this helps. Take care.

"Gamzede" word means "grief addict".

Victim-Survivor ifadesi, depremzede kelimesinden çağrışım yapmış sanırım. "zede" eki, müptela olmak, alışmak ya da "uğramak" anlamına gelir. Depremde "uğramak" anlamında iken burada "müptela olmak" manasında kullanılmıış.

Since a few outdated words, such as " Müteakiben , Reha " are used in this song, this song dates back to the last days of the ottoman empire, thus some of the attempts above are incorrect. Nevertheless, here's my attempt to do a better job at translating this.

Gamzedeyim deva bulmam, garibim bir yuva kurmam = I'm grief-stricken and unable to find a cure, wretched unable to build a home
Gamzedeyim deva bulmam, garibim bir yuva kurmam = I'm grief-stricken and unable to find a cure, wretched unable to build a home
Kaderimdir hep çektiğim, inlerim hiç reha bulmam ==== It's my destiny that I suffer,I moan without any salvation
Kaderimdir hep çektiğim, inlerim hiç reha bulmam ==== It's my destiny that I suffer,I moan without any salvation

Elem beni terk etmiyor, hiç de fasıla vermiyor ======= Anguish wont leave me, nor does it ever give a break.
Elem beni terk etmiyor, hiç de fasıla vermiyor ======= Anguish wont leave me, nor does it ever give a break.
Nihayetsiz müteakiben, doğrusu ömür yetmiyor. ===== The subsequent endlessness, to be honest a lifetime is not enough
Niyahetsiz müteakiben, doğrusu ömür yetmiyor. ===== The subsequent endlessness, to be honest a lifetime is not enough

A few things to context notes:
-Building a home is not building a house out of bricks, but forming a family.
-The words " Nihayetsiz , müteakiben " by themselves mean, " infinite" , " subsequent" .
- From the tone it is clear that it is " Gam-zede" which means " grief-stricken " .

"Grief-stricken" is more appropriate.

I think "Nihayetsiz muteakiben" is a continuation of the previous line, and characterizes the "anguish":

To give a flavor of the "older"language, I humbly offer the following:

"Anguish won't desert me, nor does it ever grant a respite, it is incessant and relentless"

This is old but I can add more insight since I speak Arabic natively and some people didn't understand the correct meaning of all words, since they are outdated. Also I speak some Turkish since I live in Turkey more than 2 years.

garibim: Garib means stragner in Arabic, it's OK if you want to translate it to poor in a Turkish context.
reha: rest
Elem: Pain
terk etmiyor: doesn't leave [one alone]
Nihayetsiz: Without end, it's like sonsuz
takibe: Pursuit

Except for etmiyor, and the suffixes -siz -im all of these are Arabic loanwords.

fasıla: literally means comma ",", but here it means a period of time that separates two periods of pain.
You can translate this part as: It doesn't give a break

I agree with daemiax on müteakiben, which means Subsequently

I have also realized that gam is of Arabic origin, and it means sorrow or sadness
