Крутилось пір’я на вітру
І я згадав негоду ту,
В яку мене моя любов
Покинула.
Виймали жала із грудей
Очата двох моїх дітей
І вся моя любов на них
Рікою хлинула.
Зростають у гніздечку соколята,
О Боже, ти за все мене прости!
О як я їх не хочу відпускати,
У простори юнацької мети.
В роках моїх така велика сила,
Та долю не затримати нічим, —
Сини мої візьміть мої вітрила,
Та й батька не забудьте поміж тим.
Я спав роками у вогні,
Біда сивіла на мені,
І тільки мати у селі,
В сльозах журилася.
А я синочків обіймав,
І сам у себе запитав,
О де ж ти наша доле
Забарилася!
Зростають у гніздечку соколята,
О Боже, ти за все мене прости!
О як я їх не хочу відпускати,
У простори юнацької мети.
В роках моїх така велика сила,
Та долю не затримати нічим, —

The feathers are spinning in the wind
And I remembered that bad weather,
In which my love
Have left me.
From the chest took out the sting
The eyes of my two kids
And all my love for them
Poured like a river.
Little falcons grow in the nest,
