Spiegelbilder

Weit hinter dem Horizont
Liegt Wahrheit verboten.
Spuren vom Winde verweht.
Kein Gestern, kein Morgen.

Ein neuer Weg wird geboren.
Die lange Reise ins Ungewisse.
Totenstille die Weggefährtin.
Botschaften die Vermächtnisse.

Städte mit großen Türmen.
Tausende Lichter strahlen.
Geheimnissvolle Mauern in purpurner Schrift bemalt.

Glühende Stürme quälen.
Verzerrte Gedanken schreien.
Vom Staub zerschürfte Haut auf Verderben und Gedeihen.

Die Kräfte sind erschöpft.
Kein Wasser, kein Brot, keine Rettung.
Die Wahrheit ist der Tod...

Spiegelbilder...

Specula spectri. Specula spectri.

Mirror Images

Far Beyond the horizon
Lies forbidden truth
All traces gone with the wind
No yesterday, no tomorrow

A new way is born
A long trip into uncertainty
The companions are dead silent.
Message the legacies.

Cities with large towers
Thousand rays of light.
Mysterious walls painted with purple scripture.

Blazing storms torment.
Distorted thoughts cry out
Walls cave in, to dust, from corruption and prosperity.

The forces are exhausted.
No water no bread no salvation.
The truth is Death.

Specula spectri. Specula spectri. (1)

"Spiegelbilder" and "specula spectri" both a plural: "mirror images".
"specula spectri" is strange grammar, though. Should be "specula spectra" or "speculorum spectra" or "speculi spectra" or something like that. Literally "specula spectri" is "mirrors of the image".

E Nomine clearly takes liberties with its Latin. Their group name is supposed to mean, "In the name of" in Latin. Probably sounds better in the chorus, another reason I don't try to translate the Latin.
