Riga Song
So throw your words into my ice-hole
Throw your knives at my door
Throw your peas against my wall [*]
Throw your seeds into infected soil
On crashed bushes there are torn flags
On wrecked lamp-posts there are broken ropes
There are muddy glasses over faded eyes
There are white stones on the frozen ground
Throw your pearls before an upturned snout
Throw empty wallets on the road
Throw your coins into beggars' striped caps
Throw your songs into an open abyss
In my corner there is stale bread and cockroaches
In my hole there are colors and voice
In my blood sand blends with mud
And on my matress there are before-last hands
And behind the door holes for trees are being dug
Kids are catapulting stones at cats
And the cats are weeping and crying out loud
And the cats are falling into empty wells
And you, - throw your words into my ice-hole
Throw your knives at my door
Throw your peas against my wall.
[*]Russian proverb "to throw peas against the wall" means doing something unavailing or useless

Throw your pearls before an upturned snout
Egor Letov, a bosom friend of Yanka, took this from Hermann Hesse's Das Glasperlenspiel and wrote a similarly called song, included in this album https://ru.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%98%D0%B3%D1%80%D0%B0_%D0%B2_%D0%B1%D... Yanka took the idea from there.
Of course, the first origin is, as usual, the Holy Bible:
Don't throw your pearls to pigs :
