About translator
Tel Baruch is a residential neighbourhood in northeastern Tel Aviv (named after poet and journalist Mordechai Yosef Baruch), notorious for its beautiful beaches and luxury properties. The Northern area is very sought after and Alexander Penn Street in particular, has luxurious high rise buildings from which the sea can be seen - hence the subject of the song, about a wastrel who leads a cushy life in one of these condominiums, where he spends his days reading, taking drugs and having one night stands while lamenting the emptiness of his existence and dreaming of a better life.
