About translator
* سجر (sajar) is used in some places in Lebanon for "trees" instead of شجر (shajar)
* غريب (ghareeb) is male stranger, and غريبة (ghareebeh) is female stranger
* This song is performed in the play 'Jisr Al-Qamar' (i.e. The Moon's Bridge), written and composed by Al-Rahbani Brothers.
The play is about two villages whose people are now in a feud, after being friendly and loving for a long time, and the settings of the play are at Jisr Al-Qamar, where the enchanted lady, Fairuz, appears and asking for love and peace, as only them can set her free from the spell.
