Translation
Manjushaka(Lycoris radiata)
Night gently enters through the window.
The weary stars rest upon the clouds,
Leaves dance in the wind, adorning the sill.
Adorned in the evening gown of that day,
Lipstick applied to resemble the night's allure.
Walking alone in the depths of the night, hoping to encounter destiny.
Like discarded scraps upon the ground,
Blown by the wind into the window of my heart.
I strive to forget, yet thoughts persist,
The lingering heat waves remain in my heart.
His gaze, like a dream, makes me unable to resist thinking.
His charismatic embrace, irresistibly drawing me back to thoughts.
On that serene night, the moon gazed upon us,
As we gradually journeyed towards the land of dreams.
Manjushaka, the beauty of the old days has faded away
Manjushaka, dried upon my hair.
The fragrance of flowers no longer lingers,
Yet their beauty persists in my heart, a constant longing.

Author's comments:
The Japanese people, with their poetic sensibilities, refer to the Manjushaka as the "flower blooming on the other shore."
