3 Militantes

Co-Fondatrice d'notre cause, d'notre raison
A 30 ans déja tu purge 12 ans d'prison
Tu t’appelle Sakine, tes née a dersim
Aller fils unis, soyons tous unis

Quand j'repensse a vous , vos souvnirs me reviénne
Reposer en paix, j'ais la haine...

3 activists

(from the TV newsreel)
Three women, Kurdish activists, have been found dead in an NPO's office this night. All three have been shot in the head. The Kurdish community immediately rallied. An impressive crowd gathered in front of the building. These Kurds are pointing at Turkey.

(actual lyrics)
3 Kurdish activists murdered right in Paris
FUCK the M.I.T, you'll be avenged, I swear it on my life
Yes on my life, you are martyrs.
You are gone, they shall expect the worse.
Hey yo Sakine, Leyla and Fidan
We don't forget about you, you are our Hevals1,
our fellow countrywomen, our activists.
Sisters to some, aunts to others.
Independent women, brave and courageous
oppressed by hatred2.
A bit of paper, my hatred, my sorrow,
then a few tears. How I hate this 9th of January,
this organized crime, so atrocious
to shoot you in the back when you talk about peace.
You say Anazati, APO youths
facing these countries that call us terrorists.
With a country3 and an assault rifle
you felt proud to fight side by side with APO!
Co-founder of our cause, our reason to live,
you're sentenced to 12 years when you're only 30.
Despite the insults and these days of torture
you stay upright as these impure4 politics,
these hard, racist politics of Turkish origin5
You will claim your pride OF BEING BORN A KURD!
Your name is Sakine, you were born in Dersim
a city many fled to exile.
You did the same and fled Turkey,
but [you were] hit by these bullets, even in Paris.
Nobody will forget you, you're our role model.
Don't go6, I'm with you, I'll be true to the cause7
They pretend to be Zazaki, zorani borani6
Come on, sons, united, let's all be united.
Give us back our lands, give us back KURDISTAN.
And otherwise, we won't put down our weapons,
we will fight heart and soul, to the bitter end.
Nobody reaches the mountains of Kandil.
You push us over the edge, don't act crazy8
because [there are ??] 5 millions of Kurds, all standing at attention.
We are being pillaged9 and killed since centuries,
we're being butchered.
Fidan Dogan, how could I speak of you, amid this suffering
you were our voice10.
All around you defended our problems11
and proudly, describe our an emblem12
Your enthusiasm, your joy, your faith
made you a lawful woman13
A pacifist woman, and really unique
always facing these sold out politicians upright.

The indifference of this State is regrettable
After 3 months, no perpetrator.
This crime is a conspiracy, not a setting of scores
and you hide the truth from us, have you no shame?
And Heval Leyla, I don't forget about you either, we don't admit defeat
against these corrupted fascists.
When I think of you, your memories come back to me
Rest in peace, I feel hatred14

  • 1. no idea who they are refering to
  • 2. I suspect the lyrics go "qu'opprime la haine", or else this makes no sense to me
  • 3. "muni d'un pays" does not make sense at all. It would mean "with a country in your hand/pocket" or something like that
  • 4. the term sounds odd in French too
  • 5. the sentence does not seem to end...
  • 6. a. b. ???
  • 7. I'm just guessing, the French does not make sense
  • 8. the probably unintentional choice of "faire les fous" is rather unfortunate. It means something like "having a jolly good fun"
  • 9. I assume "piller". Or might be "plier" (bend), which is never used that way but might mean "we are forced to bend"
  • 10. "voie" means "way" but sounds like "voix" (voice). Considering the next lines, I suppose it's just another bit of phonetic spelling
  • 11. does not mean a thing in French either
  • 12. gibberish
  • 13. "femme de loi" would mean a female judge or attorney
  • 14. "avoir la haine" (lit. "to have the hatred [inside of you]" is very common slang for "being pissed off", but here I kept closer to the literal sense
