Paradise lyrics

English

Paradise

When she was just a girl,
She expected the world
But it flew away from her reach,
So she ran away in her sleep.

Dreamed of para-para-paradise,
Para-para-paradise,
Para-para-paradise,
Every time she closed her eyes.

When she was just a girl,
She expected the world
But it flew away from her reach,
And the bullets catch in her teeth.

Life goes on,
It gets so heavy,
The wheel breaks the butterfly.
Every tear, a waterfall.
In the night, the stormy night
She closed her eyes.
In the night, the stormy night
Away she flied.

Dreamed of para-para-paradise,
Para-para-paradise,
Para-para-paradise,
Whoa-oh-oh -oh-oh...

She dreamed of para-para-paradise,
Para-para-paradise,
Para-para-paradise,
Whoa-oh-oh -oh-oh...

So lying underneath the stormy skies
She said (oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh),
I know the sun's set to rise.

This could be para-para-paradise,

Para-para-paradise,
Para-para-paradise,
Whoa-oh-oh -oh-oh.

Here are a couple of minor corrections to the lyrics text. Those other internet lyric sites have let us down again.

1. The second paragraph begins "And dreamed..."
2. "And THE bullets..." (add the definite article here)
3. The part you list as [chorus] begins: "And dreamed..." The lyrics continue to speak of this girl and do not switch to the "I".
4. The line beginning "Still lying underneath..." should be "And so lying underneath..."
5. and I believe the line "I know the sun's set to rise" should be "I know the sun was set to rise"
6. and the final [chorus x2] and [chorus] actually begin: "It's gonna be a para-para-paradise...."

I agree...this is a good song.

An amazing African version of Coldplay’s "Paradise” in Swahili
