Dampness, misty rain and cold
My breath mists the blue glass of the old bar.
Don't ask me if it's been long I wait for her:
a coffee that it's cold many ashtrays ago.
Though I know she never comes
everytime is raining I go running to the café
and I only count with the company of a cat
who tears pleasently the lace of my shoe..
Café La Humedad, pool and meetings...
Saturday with cheatings... What a great show!
I only need to thank you
the teaching of your nights
that put me far from death.

I simply thank the poetry
that the school of your nights
taught to my days.
Loneliness, loneliness of bachelorhood...
Thrity years that are tired of dreaming.
That's why I return to the corner of the pub
looking for the eternal gang of Gaona and Boyacá.
Few are those who remain!
Let's go, boys, let's remember tonight
one by one the achievements of other times
and the memory of the pub we called La Humedad.
