Once upon a time there was a poor child
with no father and no mother

the moon was a piece of rotten wood
and then he went to the sun

they were little golden flies
stuck up there like the shrike
sticks 'em on a blackthorn
And when he wanted to go back down to earth
the earth was an overturned piss pot
And he was all alone

داستان كودكان
روزي روزگاري، بچه فقيري بود
بدون پدر و مادر
و همه چيز از بين رفته بود
و توي تمام دنيا هيچ كس نمونده بود
همه چيز از بين رفته بود
و پسر روز و شب گشت
و چون كسي روي زمين نمونده بود
خواست كه به آسمانها برود
و ماه دوستانه به او نگاه كرد
و وقتي كه او سرانجام به ماه رفت
ماه، تكه چوب پوسيده اي بود
و وقتي به خورشيد رفت
و وقتي به اونجا رسيد
خورشيد، يه گل آفتابگردان پ‍ژمرده بود
و وقتي به ستارها رسيد
آنها مگسهاي طلايي كوچكي بودند
چپيده بودن اونجا مثل سنگ چشمي
كه روي يه آلوچه جنگلي نشسته
و وقتي خواست به زمين برگرده
زمين مثل يه ظرف توالت برعكس بود
و او كاملا تنها بود
او نشست و گريه كرد
و او تا به امروز همون جا ست
كاملا تنها
