Niñovan - Di que sí (English translation)

English translation

Say Yes

I want to try to tell you the words that I didn’t say
But nevertheless, you’ve taken care
Of confusing the situations and playing with the actions that we wanted
But we didn’t have the courage to accept the mistake

This isn’t just any love song
It’s a little corny, but it doesn’t exaggerate

Say yes, say yes, say yes
Say yes my love
Say yes, say yes, say yes
Say yes or no
Say yes, say yes, say yes
Say yes my love
Say yes, say yes, say yes
Say yes or no
But I’m not going to stay here playing this game of saying goodbye

It’s more likely
That my imagination is burning to a crisp
And as unrivalled
As the words of this song

Say yes, say yes, say yes
Say yes my love
Say yes, say yes, say yes
Say yes or no
Say yes, say yes, say yes
Say yes my love
Say yes, say yes, say yes
Say yes or no
But I’m not going to stay here playing this game of saying goodbye.

And unrivalled like the words of this song -> the "like" sounds fishy to me. The sentence seems unfinished without a verb. Or am I missing something?

It seems unfinished to me too. It's like it's missing another "more" at least... I went back to check what they sing, and I'm pretty sure the original lyrics are right... I'm probably going to need a native speaker to check it out.

I could have just said "incomparable," but that sounds a bit off too.

I would guess something like "The words in this song are unmatched" but I have no idea if the Spanish could actually mean that.

I think so too. I added "as" instead, but I'm not entirely sure if I'm taking too much of a liberty with the Spanish. Hopefully an hispanohablante will roll around shortly to correct me. Regular smile
