Suricato - Do Que Não Sei (English translation)

English translation

What I Don't Know

From a book I didn't even read I got those verses
And all that I saw, what I don't know
They're all fixed phrases1
My silly thoughts are all of you2
You come in and pretend
And from the start everything comes undone, and it's over

It all ends in the kiss
That I regretted much not having given you
I am a zigzag desire
Thirsty for the will of being the lover of the vanity I created

In the logic of the seas
Of the sky, the explanation for the couples
Something far is actually in front of us
For someone who has a heart as big as mine
I know all that I deserve and when I find it I forget
I've been too many people only to be myself in the end

It all ends in the kiss
That I regretted much not having given you
I am a zigzag desire
Giving in to the reality of being alone in this desire I created

In the end
It all ends in the kiss
That I regretted much not having given you
I am a zigzag desire
Thirsty for the will of being the lover of the vanity I created
Thirsty for the will of being the lover of the vanity I created
Thirsty for the will of being the lover of the vanity I created

Author's comments:

This was hard to translate as it has several constructions with which I'm not familiar with or don't know an English correspondent. I tried to keep the original sense of the lyrics, but I'm pretty sure the translation is not 100% direct or accurate.
