English translation

Dulcinea

I knew1 you already.
I knew your name, your aura, your brightness, your light
I knew you always2
I always knew this day would lead me to you
Dulcinea, Dulcinea,
pearl of gold on a field of love, you, Ducinea.
Even dead, I swear, I swear you alone will consume me,
Dulcinea, Dulcinea.

Oh no, don't go,
let my eyes behold the treasured shadow of your steps.
Oh no, don't go
You are no longer a picture, a mirage, a cloud, you are there,
Dulcinea, Dulcinea.
Let me serve your glory, my Dulcinea.
Through my voice, your name will forever go down in history,
Dulcinea, Dulcinea.

Dulcinea, Dulcinea,
pearl of gold on a field of love, you, Ducinea.
Even dead, I swear, I swear you alone will consume me,
Dulcinea, Dulcinea.
Dulcinea, Dulcinea.
Let me serve your glory, my Dulcinea.
Through my voice, your name will forever go down in history,
Dulcinea, Dulcinea.

  • 1. Just in case someone would want to use these lyrics to learn French, they use "savoir" instead of "connaître" a lot, as a poetic licence.
  • 2. the tense sounds just as odd in French (you'd expect "je t'ai toujours connue" like "I've always known you")
This translation does not claim to be of any particular value.
Glad if you liked it, sorry if you didn't.
You can reuse it as you please.
Glad if it's for knowledge or understanding, sorry if it's just for money or fame.
