Embrasse-moi

Embrasse-moi
Embrasse-moi longtemps
Embrasse-moi
Plus tard il sera trop tard
Notre vie c'est maintenant
Ici on crève de tout
De chaud de froid

On gèle on étouffe
On n'a pas d'air
Si tu cessais de m'embrasser
Il me semble que je mourrais étouffée
T'as 15 ans j'ai 15 ans
À nous deux ça fait 30

Kiss Me

It was in a neighborhood of Lumière 1 town
Where it is always dark, and there's never any air
Winter or the summer, it is always winter there
She was on the staircase
He was at her side; she was at his side
It was at night
And she was saying to him,
"It's dark here;
There's no air."
Winter or summer, it's always winter here
God's sun does not shine on our side
He has much to tend to in the rich neighborhoods
Hold me in your arms
Kiss me
Kiss me for a long time
Kiss me
Later on, it will be too late
Our life is now
Here everything makes us die 2
The heat, the cold alike

We freeze, we are smothered
We don't have air
If you were to stop kissing me
I think I'd suffocate to death
You're fifteen 3, I'm fifteen
Between us, that's thirty

  • 1. literally, light
  • 2. or to be upset by
  • 3. years old

"la Ville Lumière" is an idiomatic nickname for Paris

on étouffe -> suffocate/boil (from the heat)

so that's just 4.9 stars in my book Regular smile
