In your pupils (En tus pupilas)

In your pupils

Versions: #1#2

Before I met you the world was flat
Even though you debate it Mr. Galileo
And I got tired of kissing frogs in vein
But the knight in shining armour
I never met him

And then you arrived
Restoring my faith
Without poems and without flowers
With flaws with mistakes
But still standing*

And I feel
Something in you something between us both
Which makes me insist
When I look into your pupils
I know that God doesn't cease to exist
And I feel
Something in you something between us both
Which makes me insist
When I look into your pupils
I know that God doesn't cease to exist

You make him live
You make him live

Life is a collection of memories
But none like you do I remember so well
From the roundness of your lips
To the smell of your hair
To the colour of your skin

Don't think you're leaving and I am going to accept it
You are the best thing that has happened to me
Between the wordly and the sacred
and even more

* But still standing (pero en pie) is as close to a literal translation as I could come up with. I think the sense of "Pero en pie" is probably something like "but still going strong".

This is my first translation on here and I've tried to provide a translation which would make the most sense to an english speaker whilst keeping to the true meaning of the lyrics at the same time. Enjoy!
