Mala Rodríguez - Esclavos (English translation)

English translation

Slaves

[Chorus]
What should one bow down to?
Only slaves know what counts
One day of one's life
One day of one's life

There will always be a person bigger
and smaller than you, hey you, keep going!
Do not let
This shit become routine,
I burst through the defenses
We arrive at the top... Let's go on down! Run!
Let's go! Jump!
Keep searching! That's your job and later, drop dead ...
Let others soothe their thirst
And get out if you can from the circle
That circle filled with circles
Of empty relationships, shades of gray
And pastel tones
Who will want to sound the alarm?
Life does not schedule me in. Life does not calm me
Life does not offer anything. Life divides
My son, I take what's mine. You take your part
The shadow passes and there seems to be something missing, and then goal!
Why not believe?
Two liters sell cheaper
Although it makes waste
It's not fitting to watch it fall
Trees and stars at the same level
They will remain.

[Chorus]
What should one bow down to?
Only slaves know what counts
One day of one's life
One day of one's life

The hunger of the wolf: you or me,
The skin of the lamb: you or me,
The voice that is drowning
Without saying I love you. No, there's nothing more,
You or me, without an ovation, the back door,
One big whatever
In your head a passing cloud,
One big F, the world, you or me
Strange things happen without explanation
Which rob me of my awards,
Which rob me of my clothes!
Which rob me of my dreams
Which rob me of my boots!
Which rob me of my genius,
Which rob me of my illusion ...
You or me, I got everything,
Still like that, there I go
Feeling like a monster without a father
Full of conviction
a naked scratch mark, the world is my room!
High ideals in the shade,
Men with saws, they're ready, already
Steps always lead to a better place
Hey you! keep going ...

[Chorus]
What should one bow down to?
Only slaves know what counts
One day of one's life
One day of one's life

"Sólo los esclavos saben lo que vale un día de su vida" should be "Only slaves know what a day of their life is worth." IMHO
