Regular smile

ok i ll try; but just a try Regular smile

i m a survivor of sorrows, can't reach a cure
i m a poor man, can't marry anyone
that's all because of my destiny
i moan, but can't reach restful

the pain doesn't leave me
and it doesn't take a break
forever, just after
in fact, my life is not enuf for it

The next translation after this one will be better...Any bets?

I can try Regular smile

Gamzedeyim deva bulmam,
garibim bir yuva kurmam.
Kaderimdir hep çektiğim,
inlerim hiç reha bulmam.

Elem beni terk etmiyor,
hiç de fasıla vermiyor.
Nihayetsiz bu takibe
doğrusu ömür yetmiyor.
---------------------------------------------
I'm a grief victim, can't find a remedy,
I'm a poor* man, can't build a nest.**
It's my destiny which I always suffer from,
I moan, can't find a salvation.

Sorrow doesn't leave me,
also it never takes a break.
To this infinite chasing,
sooth to say, this life is not enough.

* "poor, harmless, alone" pick one
**to get married and start a family

- "gamzedeyim" word could be "gamze-deyim" ( being in love/stuck with a girl who has a dimple) or "gam-zedeyim"( being a victim/survivor of grief). This is a really old song and there's no certain information about that. Could be an allusion too.
- actually in the first verse, verbs don't imply ability -in literal translation. So, that could be he's willing to do these. Like, he " doesn't -want- to find a remedy", "doesn't -want- to build a nest" and so on... But in the second verse he's really suffering... so, we usually take it as if it's formed with "can" modal verb.

I hope this helps. Take care.
