Getting new tattoo, need English to Croatian! Please

Hey everyone,
I live in New Zealand but my Mum and her side of the family are Croatian/Yugoslavian. I have some tattoos on my arm and am getting a few more in a week or so and i would like a quote on there that is in or has something to do with Croatia! You may say well why don't you ask your family! I would but i want it to be a surprise but i have to get it right!! 
:)
So does anyone know any famous historical Croatian/Yugoslavian quotes? Could you write them up in Croatian and there translation to English please?
And if possible could you translate the following to Croatian and let me know if they still make sense? THank you so much.

I can't suggest any Croatian quotes because they are not so popular. People usually tattoo Croatian flag or something like "Croatia in my heart", but that's not my cup of tea

Jedini način za prevladavanje straha je proživjeti ga. (as you can see, Croatian has longer and more complicated words which make sentences longer)

so the translation to croatian 'Želja za uspjehom treba biti jača nego strah od neuspjeha' still makes sence?
if you read, or someone said to you 'Želja za uspjehom treba biti jača nego strah od neuspjeha' and you were asked to translate it to english or say it in english? how would you, and most croatians translate it? does it come out exactly like 'the desire for succes should be greater than fear of failure'???
i might ring my granddad this afternoon and see what he thinks too =) but if you could also reply that would be awesome.

The translation of 'Želja za uspjehom treba biti jača nego strah od neuspjeha' really sounds like 'the desire for success should be greater than fear of failure'
But it would be nice to ask sometone else too.

Hi, I'm from the states, but i'm only a second generation...My whole family is from Croatia, although most that could speak it are gone. I'm looking to get a tattoo on my left wrist, and I'm looking for just one word. Everywhere I go, I get different translations for single words, can someone help me out.....
