Hep Sonradan - Ahmet Kaya
Hep sonradan gelir aklıma hep sonradan, sonradan
Hep sonradan gelir aklım başıma, hep sonradan
Ne sen bulutsun ne de ben yağmur
Ne sen mağrur ne de ben mağrur
Hüzünlü bir akşam susmuşuz durgunuz hepsi bu
Hello ankasunamon,
I translated Ahmet Kaya's song, hep sonradan,(always belatedly). Is this a correct translation? I am not sure. If your english is better than me you may correct errors. Here is the translation:
You aren’t Layla and I am not Majnun(*)
Neither you nor i am tired
A mournful evening,we’ve drunk,we’re tipsy,that’s just it
I always sober down belatedly, always belatedly
I always sober down belatedly, always belatedly
I always sober down belatedly, always belatedly
I always sober down belatedly, always belatedly
You aren’t cloud and I am not rain(**)
Neither you nor i am proud
A mournful evening,we’re silent,we’re calm, that’s just it
* Note: Layla and Majnun, -also known as The Madman and Layla –is a classical Arabic story. It is based on the real story of a young man called Qays ibn al-Mulawwah from Najd (the northern Arabian Peninsula) during the Umayyad era in the 7th century. In one version, he spent his youth together with Layla, tending their flocks. In another version, upon seeing Layla he fell passionately in love with her. In both versions, however, he went mad when her father prevented him from marrying her; for that reason he came to be called Majnun meaning "madman."
** this is an expression that means we aren’t convenient, suitable one another
You're welcome ankasunamon ,I corrected the mistake that you told me.
