I'm member of this site for 3 years. I've seen so many mistakes about songs, repeat song titles, broken video links. But I couldn't change any of them. I report all the time. So how can I be a moderator? Thank you.

If you don't know how, it already means you shouldn't be the one. That's my opinion, sorry, please don't feel offended.

But there's another interesting option for you - to become an editor. That would give you the chance to correct the mistakes you've mentioned.

Try to contact the admins and ask.

I think most users who want to help clean up the site start out as Editors, to kind of test the waters. If you really contribute a lot and are knowledgeable in your native language, that helps too. You'd definitely would fit in as an editor, especially if you can spot these things and take time in making corrections.

Hi. I had the same problem. Requested and was made editor. You can not delete or merge translations. You can not edit translations made by others. Only the source language. Other than that, you can do quite a lot. For everything else you have to leave a comment and the mods or the OP will take care of it. It works surprizingly well.

I may sound cheeky while writing this, even though i absolutely do not intend to, but I would really like to become an editor too because ever since I registered here I've been seeing so many mistakes (either in titles and lyrics): from missing information (albums and videos) and lyrics which lack separated stanzas, for example, to incorrectly applied capitalization, orthography and punctuation rules, and all of this has been driving me mad all the time. Reporting the things I mentioned to a moderator hasn't always been effective (I do not want to offend anyone with this though) and writing a comment below the lyrics has had its flaws as well (of course, not always). Sorry if I might sound inappropriate, but I sometimes find it hard to express myself appropriately in English because I don't practise it that much. Hopefully you'll understand me, thanks in advance.

Should I send message to become editor? If yes, whom would I send?

Please remember, when you change the original text that already has the translations don't forget to warn all the translators related to the song you've just edited about the changes, in order to they can correct their translations.

And if you become a mod one day, please NEVER change the translation without the author's permission. This is the highest level of impoliteness. The only exception is when the author's account has already been deleted, or author is absent for quite a long time, and doesn't respond on your messages.

Use your power responsibly! ;)

Users can ask to be made editors, but at the end the decision is based on many factors and requirements (the same applies for moderators), ones which we can't disclose or else everyone will try and keep to these "requirements"; thus making our discretion redundant. However I will say this, if you have a history of incidents with the staff, your likelihood of being given Editor rights or being recommended for moderator are slim.
