Speak (Habla)

English translation

Speak

Speak, you can do it,
Tell me, speak.
Tell me a made-up story.
I like to hear you talking to me
Starting seems so simple.

You know, you don't have any reason to do it,
But its the only way we can communicate.
You can convince me if you talk to me.
Don't you want to earn my trust?

For all of those who have to remain silent,
Let nobody take your voice away.
For all of those who never win.
For all those missing,
Tell me, speak.

Speak, let out a few words
Your tongue has been trapped
Tell me, the air flows through your throat
But it can’t find a way out
It can’t find your mouth.

For all of those who have to remain silent,
Let nobody take your voice away.
For all of those who never win.
For all those missing,
Tell me, speak.

Author's comments:

For some reason, I'm not quite satisfied with "tell me, speak" for "dime habla". "Dime" strikes me as something more frequently said in Spanish than "tell me" is in English. Also "tell me, speak" doesn't make much sense, whereas I feel like "dime habla" does.

Suggestions?
