How to add a new translation

It's great that you've decided to contribute to Lyrics Translate Smiling
First of all we recommend you to register, you'll see a lot of additional options and possibilities.

There are three different ways to add a translation:

How to add a translation to a song with already existing translation(s):

When you go to the song in our database that you'd like to translate, underneath the songlyrics you'll find a button called 'Add new translation' or 'Add another translation' that's the one you'll need, click on it.
Then you'll have to translate the title and click on submit.
Now you're on the main 'Submit Translation' page where you'll have to fill in the language of the translation (if your translation is for example Spanish to English, you'll have to choose English).
Then add your translation in the box 'Translated lyrics'.
And if needed you can add a comment in author's comment about your translation, or if the translation is from another site add the source (the url to that translation).
Finally click on the button submit and your translation will be posted.

How to translate a song previously requested:

Go to list of translation requests. There you will see a language filter, set it first. It lets you to navigate only language-specific requests, i.e. only Spanish -> English ones.
Choose a song(s) you would like to translate.
Now follow the steps shown above at the already existing translation(s).

How to submit both original song and it's translation:

If the song isn't in our database, you'll have to submit it first.
First you will have to add the title of the song.
The next step is to select the original language of the song (if the song is in Spanish, select Spanish).
Then you have to write down the artist's name.
Now you can add the lyrics of the song (you can find it online).
If needed you can add a comment in author's comment.
Then click on the button submit and the song will be posted.
Now follow the steps shown above at the already existing translation(s).
