Krieg kennt keine Sieger → English translation

Translation
War knows no victors
Behind a black veil
crying eyes unseen,
crying for scorched earth,
for a fatherless land.
Crying for the dead brother
who fell in the name of God,
crying tears without hope
Only death plays its game.
[Refrain]
War knows no victors
The father and the son
turn into holy warriors
War knows no victors
It devours and gives nothing
back, only dead warriors
(and no victors)
Behind temple walls
a priest full of rage instigates
and the poison in his words
turns into blood in the war
Sons turning into soldiers
praying faithfully for victory
dying young without getting the chance to live
Only death wins in war
For whom did you die?
For what did you burn?
Your blood trickles away in the desert sand
Who betrayed you?
After whom did you run?
Didn't you realize it was a lie?
What did you win?
For whom did you fight?
You were a great warrior
and still they don't sing songs in your honor
You were a great warrior, but...
[Refrain]

Thanks for the great suggestions :)
Well, the priest is full of rage, stirs up his flock, giving hate sermons probably, that's what the line's supposed to mean. I changed the word order, hope the meaning comes across now. And I had to look that "(auf-)hetzen" up, 'to foment' was the first on the list :D
