Verbs

There are 3 groups of verbs in Macedonian:

1.Verbs that end in -a in 3rd person singular,present tense (гледа-to watch)
2.Verbs that end in -e in 3rd person singular, present tense (пее-to sing)
3.Verbs that end in -i in 3rd person singular, present tense (брои-to count).

The verb suffixes (added to the stem of the verb, i.e. the 3rd person singular, present tense) are the following:

Present
Singular:
1p -ам
2p -ш
3p /
Plural:
1p -ме
2p -те
3p -ат

Imperfect:
Singular:
1p -в
2p -ше
3p -ше
Plural:
1p -вме
2p -вте
3p -а

Aorist:
Singular:
1p -в
2p /
3p /
Plural:
1p -вме
2p -вте
3p -а/-ја*

*If the stem ends in 2 vowels: eg. Tie broeja

Future:
The particle ќе + The conjugation of Present tense

Eg. (the verb "odi" - to go)
Sing.
Ќе одам
Ќе одиш
Ќе оди

Plur.
Ќе одиме
Ќе одите
Ќе одат

The verb "to be" is irregular:

Јас (I) сум
Ти (You) си
Тој/Таа/Тоа (He/She/It) е
Ние (We) сме
Вие (You) сте
Тие (They) се

To be in future tense:

sing.
1. Јас ќе бидам
2. Ти ќе бидеш
3. Тој/таа/тоа ќе биде

plur.
1. Ние ќе бидеме
2. Вие ќе бидете
3. Тие ќе бидат

To be in imperfect:

sing:
1.Јас бев
2.Ти беше
3.Тој/Таа/Тоа беше

plur.
1.Ние бевме
2.Вие бевте
3.Тие беа
