Lendo Calendo

Lendo…cheers, aha
Yo, Dan! It’s your boy, Brasco
I report from the U.S. – Let’s go

Pretty girl, pretty girl, no make up
If you seen her you would think she was made up
In the party with Cîroc, go to ace up
party to the sun goes down ‘cause paid up
Homies, get your weight up
I got the baddest in my section, straight up
All different complexions but wait up
The one in that red dress got me so messed up

Era se munio de manga meri
Era se munio de manga meri
Camera venda de lunio vara
Tu y yo, un beso me dejó marcado.

Lendo calendo una malida
Calendo peiciara, un beso me dejó marcado.
Lendo calendo una malida
Calendo peiciara, un beso me dejó marcado.

Moviendo sus caderas
La vi caminar
Un cuerpo como ninguna
No puedo olvidarla
Yo le doy lo que le gusta
La pongo a temblar
Bailando en lo oscuro
Vamos volando

Era se munio de manga meri
Era se munio de manga meri
Camera venda de lunio vara
Tu y yo, un beso me dejó marcado.

Lendo calendo una malida
Calendo peiciara, un beso me dejó marcado.
Lendo calendo una malida
Calendo peiciara, un beso me dejó marcado.

Pretty girl, pretty girl, no make up
If you seen her you would think she was made up
In the party with Cîroc of the ace up
Party to the sun goes down ‘cause paid up
She start shaking, I'm pacing
She said, boy, come here, I'm not taking
Can't your take it if u waited baby
Boy, tell me do you got patience?

Sabes, sabes lo que quiero la noche entera,
la noche entera...
Sabes, sabes lo que quiero la noche entera
la noche entera...

Pretty girl, turn up, bad girl, turn up
Pretty girl, turn up, bad girl, turn up
turn up, turn up, turn up

Lendo calendo una malida
Calendo peiciara, un beso me dejó marcado.
Lendo calendo una malida
Calendo peiciara, un beso me dejó marcado.

(Ad lib to end)

*Era se munio de manga meri
Era se munio de manga meri
Camera venda de lunio vara*
You and I, she left me a kiss marked.

*Lendo calendo una malida

*Lendo calendo una malida
Calendo peiciara* she left me a kiss marked.

Moving her hips
I saw her walk
A body like no one
I cant forget her
I give her what she likes
I make her shake
Dancing in the dark
We go flying

*Era se munio de manga meri
Era se munio de manga meri

You and I, she left me a kiss marked.

According to google translate the untranslated parts might be Galician or Portuguese.
It would be better if you'd only add translations when you understand all of the song but since at least most of it is translated I think it's okay. Maybe you can ask in the forum for a translation of that lines?

I'm fairly sure it's neither, I can't even see the grammar. Maybe Romanian, or some language of the family? (he sang one song in Romanian, and comes from a country that speaks it)

The only part that is Portuguese in this text is "lendo", which is translated as "reading". I don't know which could be the language of the rest of it.

I think that language is latin

ScieraSciera    Fri, 06/09/2013 - 13:41

Latin? I know that language fairly well, and I'm pretty sure that this is no Latin.
But it most likely is a Romanic language - just which one?

ScieraSciera    Fri, 06/09/2013 - 13:46

I've googled a bit and some people claim that at least the title is just made up - if the rest really means anything I don't know but it at least is based on a Romanic language.

ScieraSciera    Mon, 28/10/2013 - 18:01

ce10003 told me the untranslated words would be Romani - he wouldn't speak that language but he'd recognize some words.

I'm not completely sure since these words use none of the special letters of Romani and since the syllable structure reminds me quite much of Romanian languages like Spanish (Romani is no Romanian language but an Indo-Aryan one) but for now I'll tag the lyrics with it.

"..............." is not a meaningful motive. Please state why you think this translation deserves that vote.

(Your vote will be deleted until you give a reason)

EDIT: All the words in Spanish are translated; the rest of them are either in English or untranslatable.

It is Romanian people, more technically Moldavian, which is a dialect of Romanian.

The title is made up, Dan declared.
No word in this song in Romanian or Moldovian. Moldovian is anyway Romanian too.
Moldova was part of Romania untill Russia overtook it. But we still consider Moldova part of Romania in our hearts. And we are still hoping they will be reunited.
PS. The Song is in Spanish and English. Romanian is a Latin language as well, one of the 5th: Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, French and Romanian. Only that it has some older roots than Latin and more balcanic influences.

If "lendo calendo" is just made up, then that explains at least some of the lines in question.
But there are words in it that are neither Spanish nor English.

Sorry, I can’t agree.
“Calere” is an Italian antiquated and literary verb, typically used in the idiom “non me ne cale” (I don’t care) or similar (ei non si cale, a noi non cale, a chi cale? etc.) and only in the 3rd singular person of the present tense, mostly in negative or interrogative sentences. The gerund is never used, and anyways it sounds very weird and doesn’t make sense in this context.
I think it is really a made up Language. Or at least a little known dialect.

Actually, Moldova is for now a part of Ukraine. I wonder would it separate like Crimea.
