My star ain't destined to partake
The warmth, unlike us, base and mortal;
For us there's home with lighted portal,
Just bitter wine is her keepsake;
Her bitter fate is not renowned -
To burn when flames engulf the city;
Just one boy would say: What a pity,
Behold, a star is falling down!
My star was never meant to find
Her peace or to exhaust her life force;
She does not know what soul repose is,
Although she thinks so; never mind.
In her night dreams she's bound to see
That house, bypassed by all misfortunes,
(When she's awake, she'll do her sky turns)
And bitter smoke, and bitter tea...
