The Sky [ Ouranos (Ουρανός) ]

English translation

The Sky

Look up to the sky above us,
sometimes it's cloudy and sometimes clear and blue,
and even when it's cloudy the clouds are not at all in a hurry
are they big... or are you small?

And the birds... look how they fly without any effort,
without ever having to work out,
nevertheless they fly over distant places,
for years now, long before you were born

Oh oh,
Who built this world, I'm wondering,
with love and wisdom,
Oh, oh
and I am standing here, full of admiration and bewilderment

Look at the rock on the seaside,
Imagine how much he could say to you,
If you could ask him
Look at the waves that pound on him for years,
but he is still there standing.

Look at the animals living in the wild,
they are wild to protect themselves,
although we call them wild
because they kill when they have to feed.

Oh oh,
Who built this world, I'm wondering,
with order and wisdom,
Oh, oh,
and I am standing here, full of admiration and bewilderment

Look how the day is born gradually from the night,
look how the night vanishes in the day,
look how the stars slowly come out ,
for years now and long before you were born,

This world is full of beauty,
and if there is ugliness I'm the ugliness,
because I'm a human and I did the mistake
to consider myself as the most important.

Oh oh,
It wasn't me who built this world
with order and wisdom,
Oh, oh,
even though I am standing here, full of admiration and bewilderment

Greek

Ouranos (Ουρανός)

Κοίτα ψηλά τον ουρανό που μας σκεπάζει
μιά έχει σύννεφα και μιά είναι γαλανός
Κι αν έχει σύννεφα δεν βιάζονται καθόλου
είναι μεγάλα ή εσύ είσαι μικρός;

nice song and translation
just a couple of suggestions :

απορία = wonder

ιατί είμαι άνθρωπος και έκανα το λάθος
να θεωρώ πως είμαι ο πιό σημαντικός = because i'm human and made the mistake of considering myself most important

thanks!
