In the streets of Naples (P' 'e viche 'e Napule)

English translation

In the streets of Naples

Here one wakes up to the sun. it’s unlikely to rain
and whoever's in this city feels a rascal
some of all the folks are good and some are bad
there are those who go to work and those
who steal but we love this city
in these alleys of Naples one can walk
on foot through Forcella or through the neighbourhoods
a warm pie in the early morning
a rock in the clear sea with beer and sandwich
Naples is always beautiful and if you don't walk, come down
through Pallonetto to Mergellina
in the heart of Naples there's Maradona, he made us dream
Naples is neglected with a lot of problems
in its’ mind there are a lot of thoughts nevertheless
a city more beautiful cannot be found in all Italy

There are americans, there are marocans, spanish and ukrainians
living in this city who sell those phony CD’s,
who sell paper tissues and those who have
nothing and ask for charity
Just the same we love this city
in these alleys of Naples one can walk
on foot through Forcella or through the neighbourhoods
a warm pie in the early morning
a rock in the clear sea with beer and sandwich
Naples is always beautiful and if you don't walk, come down
through Pallonetto to Mergellina
in the heart of Naples there's Maradona, he made us dream
Naples is neglected with a lot of problems
in its’ mind there are a lot of thoughts nevertheless
a city more beautiful cannot be found in all Italy
