Keen’V - Sally (English translation)

English translation

Sally

We will go together in Brittany and settle there,
that's what Loïc said to Sally a few years ago.
So they decided to leave Paris for Quimperlé,
the weather is nice beyond Hadrien's wall, or so they say1

His dream since he was a kid
was to be a sailor,
while she just followed out of love, to stay with him.

His dream since he was a kid
was to be a sailor.
Sally and Loïc embraced on the floor and on they went.

I'ts been a year already since they moved house.
Not once did they have regrets
or look back at the past.

In the mean time Loïc got a job on a trawler.
Now he knows for sure, sailor is the best job ever.

But Sally knew noone
and so she felt neglected.
She spend her days alone and all days were alike.
But Sally knew noone
and so she felt neglected.
She gets bored all alone and spends her days crying.

And so as the years went by Sally missed even more
her former life and the friends she had to leave.

So as Loïc came back she decided to talk to him.
She pointed that out2, he ignored her and went back to work.

She is torn between her grief and her love for him,
but her grief is stronger so she's had enough.
She is torn between her grief and her love for him,
but as he left Sally to get jaded all alone3, she walked away.

She is torn between her grief and her love for him,
but her grief is stronger so she's had enough.
She is torn between her grief and her love for him,
but as he left Sally to get jaded all alone, she walked away.

  • 1. That's another piece of Yoda talk Mr. Keen'V seems to fancy. "Mais il paraît que..." would make more sense.
Btw this wall is actually in the UK, so moving to Brittany will not even get you close enough to watch this supposedly nice weather...
  • 2. the French is rather broken here, should be "elle le lui a fait remarquer" or something
  • 3. again the French is pretty convoluted

I can see that last sentence is a bit of a job and you've done your best with it. Needs a 'to' though:
"but as he left Sally to get jaded all alone, she walked away"
