Sultan Suleyman

English translation

Sultan Suleyman

Versions: #1#2
How long has it been? The time has stopped.
The sea is the same, I don't know the world
The stone walls are the same
The hopes are the same, so tell me, where is the one who has hopes?

How many ages, how many generations have passed away?
The heart has such a love but the roads are endless
What's the use of longing?
Patience is the same,
So tell me, where is the one who has the patience?

Netiher you nor I will live forever
Netiher you nor I will live forever
Even Sultan Suleyman did not
This is not written in any kind of book

x2

How many flowers have faded away? You told me this is the last time.
Remember, an early yellow storm has broken out
How many outgrowth hopes iced?
Remember, a painful breeze scattered us aside

Netiher you nor I will live forever
Netiher you nor I will live forever
Even Sultan Suleyman did not
This is not written in any kind of book

The sea is the same, I don't know the world - the seas all the same, the world unknown

The hopes are the same, so tell me, where is the one who has hopes? - Hopes remain the same, so tell me, who took the hopeful one?

you have to work on it, something are translated without attention to detail

thanks for the advises.
i think "unknown" feels a little weird when you say it. it feels like it means something else. I avoided translating the song word by word.

well the world is life and what's to come is unknown...what is know is "the seas" tide comes in tide goes out no change

the song never specifies "me" doesn't say tell me...doesn't say I don't know...its ambiguous.
the world unknown does not sound weird, it might sound weird to you but it doesn't sound weird when speaking english. However the way you have it written does not sit right.
