Tie on the feedbag

Tie on the feedbag (English) — To eat, to go somewhere and eat. "Let's go tie on the (old) feedbag." Meaning let us go somewhere and eat something.
If you are a feedbag that means you are paying for someone to eat. Parents are the feedbag to children.
A feedbag is used to feed livestock in travel or stationary. It is portable and you tie over the ears (of perhaps a horse) to feed them something like oats.
