I'm a twenty-something girl from Germany who has been a language geek for years. I never had a anyone to share my passion with until one day I accidentally came across this website. Whereas before I always translated songs at my quiet desk in a simple excercise book, I was more than glad to be able to combine my love for languages and music here, with other people who feel the same way about this.
Recently I took a little hiatus from translating due to being allowed to live the dream which I had held for over seven years. Said dream was travelling through Australia. While I loved the time I had there, I was led down in many ways and then, by coincidence, I ended up in New Zealand and fell in love with the beautiful country of Aotearoa.
So, even though I am very happy to be back home now, I have found a deep love for travelling and exploring the world. When doing that I believe it is important to learn the languages of the countries you travel through and of the people you meet.
In school I learned English, Spanish and some French. I also started to teach myself Swedish and Italian and would like to add even more languages to that list. A man that held a voluntary Spanish course at my middle School once told us: "When you're done learning a language, you go on and learn the next one." And now I guess that's what I'm going to live by.
If you need any help with anything, a translation or whatever or have a question, don't hesitate to ask. I can't guarantee you anything, but I'll see what I can do.
