Иван / Ivan / John
I’ve been studying English since school through university to adult life with a varying degree of success. Since joining this site, I’ve also started to learn Bulgarian. Thus with my English now being, I hope, rather good, when time allows, I concentrate mostly on Bulgarian. After getting a good grasp of it, I hope to switch to others.
Some of my translations have square-bracketed “tags” in their titles. The [S] denotes a singable translation, i.e. being rhythmically equal to its respective original, but not guaranteeing any rhymes. The [P] denotes a poetic translation, i.e. having its own rhythm and again not guaranteeing any rhymes. The lower-case “r” in a tag indicates a presence of some rhymes in a translation. The lower-case “s” means “semi” and signals a translation done only partially in the denoted way.
