I'm here because I'm interested in Arabic music and am always trying to find the lyrics of songs I hear on TV or parties etc. I've been studying Arabic (in community college, not all that intensive) for almost a year now. I gues at this point I'm going to be asking for help more than providing translations for others, but as soon as I get more profiecient I'll definitely contribute to the best of my ability! I hope that's okay with you all (established members). Oh, and I should say, the dialects I'm intersted in are the Eastern ones, Syrian, Lebanese, Palestinian, Egyptian. Specifically Lebanese, because that's my family ancestry, but going back two generations, so I didn't really hear the language growing up. Can just about remember my grandmother speaking Lebanese, but not realy what she was saying (probably stuff she didn't want the kids to understand!). I also like Egyptian corny pop music. Hope existing members don't mind another ignorant newbie in your midst. Thanks in advance!

I'm also not the most computer literate person in the world. Looking ahead in this questionnaire thingie, I don't even know what Skype and ICQ are!!!
