Author's comment:

First translation, so it's most likely not very good. I warn you, it's quite a literal translation so I may have not preserved its artistic beauty. I have asterisked the bits that I'm not very sure of, so if anyone more learned in Urdu would like to clarify them, I'd be glad. I'd also like to know if there's a difference between 'jaane' and 'jaanu' as I've translated them both the same.

Other than that, I think the translation does convey the message of the song, at the very least.

1/10/12: I corrected a line, realised that 'piya' as in 'to drink' doesn't make much sense in context and listening to the song it sounded more like 'piya' as in 'dear' or 'beloved' which I'm used to seeing transliterated differently.
