For one lira

Italian

Per una lira

Per una lira,
io vendo tutti i sogni miei.
Per una lira,
ci metto sopra pure lei.
E' un affare, sai?
Basta ricordare di non amare,
di non amare.

Amico caro,
se c'è qualcosa che non va,
se ho chiesto troppo,
tu dammi pure la metà.
E' un affare, sai?
Basta ricordare di non amare, no,
di non amare.

No, no, no...
No!

Per una lira,
io vendo tutto ciò che ho.
Per una lira,
io so che lei non dice: "No".
Ma se penso che
tu sei un buon amico,
non te lo dico:
meglio per te.
Meglio per te.
Meglio per te.
Meglio per te.
Meglio per te.

For one lira

For one lira,
I can sell all my dreams.
For one lira,
I can include her too.
It's a good buy, you know?
You only have to remember not to love,
not to love.

Dear friend,
if something's wrong,
if I asked too much,
just give me a half.
It's a good buy, you know?
You only have to remember not to love, no,
not to love.

No, no, no...
No!

For one lira,
I can sell everything I've got.
For one lira,
I know she wouldn't say: "No".
But if I think that
you are a good friend,
I wouldn't talk you about that:
so much the better for you.
So much the better for you.
So much the better for you.
So much the better for you.
So much the better for you.

The phrase "So much the better for you" sounds odd...
I'd translate it as "It's better for you"
Otherwise, yes, a good job!Smile

I transleted this phrase by replacing "worse" with "better". English for "Peggio per te" should be "so much the worse for you". http://forum.wordreference.com/showthread.php?t=697643&langid=14 check out the last post.

Thank you, anyway!
