Unforgotten Everlasting Lifelong

A white sheet of paper in front of me,
the mirror of the locked door.
What am I looking for, no, what am I doing here?
I am absolutely devoid of thoughts.
It suffices to be thinking of it and
all of that time is here again.
I want to get lost in it today as well.
It suffices to be thinking of it and
the images in my head are revolving again.
Always those of mine,
perhaps those of yours as well.

Unforgotten, everlasting, lifelong
Oooooh, oooh, ooh, oh
The hours of all the days, the weeks of all the years
the memory remains.
Unforgotten, everlasting, for time perennial
(Time time time time …)
In the Mind there is Freedom.

Walls of incarceration
are blacker than darkness.
Blurred in the world of shadows.
Face downwards, beaten hero.
Head up, chest thrust in front and
from those moments of past years [von die?]
There is hope in them, they're free of every complaint.
Head up, chest thrust in front and
ludricous fears, beaten ground. . . .
Just look, it still went on and on going up

Unforgotten, everlasting, lifelong
Oooooh, oooh, ooh, oh
The hours of all the days, the weeks of all the years
the memory remains.
Unforgotten, everlasting, lifelong
(Lifelong, lifelong …)
In the Mind there is Freedom.

In the Mind there is Freedom!
And it is far from prejudice
And it mirrors reality

Unforgotten, everlasting, lifelong
Oooooh, oooh, ooh, oh
The hours of all the days, the weeks of all the years
the memory remains.
Unforgotten, everlasting, lifelong
(Lifelong, lifelong …)
In the Mind there is Freedom.

Hallo meine freunde!

A correction here... the word lebenslänglich does not translate to "time perennial" but to Life sentence, like sentenced for life!

Guilherme Muck    Sat, 09/09/2017 - 14:11

Addition here... lebenslänglich also translates to lifelong

Guilherme Muck    Sat, 09/09/2017 - 14:12

ludrigen Ängste, geschlagener Boden --> ludicrous fears, beaten ground

Another comment my friend:

Bin absolut gedankenleer to --> Absolutely thoughtless
Es reicht dass ich daran denke und to --> It's enough I think of it and...

I am absolutely devoid of thoughts. / It suffices to be thinking of it and => I've interpreted these lines as follows: There are absolutely no thoughts in my head [gedankenleer] and it is enough for me to be thinking of this lack of thoughts

Guilherme Muck    Mon, 11/09/2017 - 12:34

Sehr gut... but perhaps "I am absolutely thoughtless" would suit better...

I'm still trying to learn German here...

To me 'thoughtless' would mean 'without planned thinking' (when doodling for instance), whereas 'without thought' would mean 'a total blank' in one's head. So 'absolutely thoughtless' (to me) would mean acting like a machine or a robot. Moreover the person is not absolutely thoughtless because he thinks he is thoughtless and thus contradicting himself.
