Hey, I'm brasilian, and I think that I can explain the last part.
When it says "Uma banda de maçã, outra banda de reggae", it can be wright translated as something like "A group of apples, and a band of reggae", because the word "banda" means a group of something, like a group of musicians or a group of fruits... Not literal, cause it's a brasilian "slang"...
